Down Syndrome Ireland are promoting ice-cream Funday fundraisers this month. We plan to have an ice-cream Sunday. Stick around after church on the 28th May for an ice-cream. There will be a basket at the back for those who want to give a donation. €2 per person will cover the cost of the ice-cream. Anything else will go towards Down Syndrome Ireland.
A big thanks to everyone who made the fete such a success again this year. Despite the weather warnings, the sun came out and a great time was had by everyone. Special thanks go to Olive Walker, Grainne Darlington and their team of will and enthusiastic helpers.
This Sunday the 14th at 10:30 we will be thinking about some of the heroes of faith. We are inviting our children (and adults if they would like) to dress up as their favourite superhero. Come along for some superhero fun.
Hallelujah Christ is Risen! There are so many people to thank for making Holy Week and Easter a special time. Thanks to the choir for their wonderful music. Thanks to those who made the church look so spectacular on Easter morning. Thanks to the brave souls who attended the sunrise service at the led mines!
The Easter Vestry is the Annual General Meeting of the Church. It ensures good governance. At the Easter Vestry the Select Vestry is elected and the end of year accounts presented. This year it is at 8 pm in the Kilternan National School on the 2nd May.
Pilgrim is on again on the 10th May and the 24th May in the Golden Ball at 8 pm. For more info on Pilgrims in the Pub, check out the ‘What we Do’, Faith Formation page.
This year’s fete in on the 13th May. The fete is an important part of the church’s life. It isn’t only an opportunity to raise some much needed funds, but it’s a lovely day for the whole community to gather and share some delicious snacks, some treasures from the brick-a-brac, and lots of games for all the family. Please come along and bring friends and family!
On the 28th May we have a service of Holy Communion designed to be accessible for people of all ages. To ensure that our young people understand what is going on, some of the service is set to the tune of well know nursery rhymes. Children are also invited to come forward and receive a grape during communion. We hope that lots of families will come along!
