Following the Easter Vestry Meeting Mrs Daphne Athey and Mrs Jennifer Lynam were elected Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer respectively. We are grateful to Daphne Athey and Olive Pierce who provided refreshments during the vestry meeting. It is a sign of the life and hope of a parish that people offer for service on a select vestry the management committee.
This year again we had an election for members of Select Vestry in Kilternan Parish. We thank those who have served in the past and ask Godıs blessing on those elected to serve for the coming year. At a time when much around us is changing in the development of the area, within society and the Church itself, and our own vision for the parish including collaborative ministry within and between Killiney, Rathmichael and Kilternan Parishes, and the ongoing drive to provide adequate parochial facilities to meet the needs of the parish and wider community we ask for the continuing involvement, input and support of the parish and parishioners as a whole.

From Ballina to Kilternan Family Fun Day and Fair, 10th May 2003
The day dawned bright and sunny in Ballina! Thatıs where I started the day on the 10th May, a family celebration demanding my presence on Friday 9th!
The drive down from the west was spent anxiously scanning the horizon for clouds en route to Kilternan and checking that my mobile was still silent and no one was trying to tell me something disastrous had occurred.
I should have had more faith! The annual Family Fun Day and Fair was once again a very worthwhile event. The stalls were set up and run with good humour and enthusiasm. A few trestles short but, ³Weıll manage². The goods for sale arrived in on time (one has to be a believer!), and the raffle prizes proved to be a big draw (pardon the pun!). The ponies trotted, the burgers sizzled, faces were painted, bargains were found and delicious teas were consumed.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who were involved with the day. To those who allowed themselves to be drafted and to those who volunteered, a big ³Thank You!² It makes it all easier to organise such an event when people are helpful and co-operative. Thank you to the stallholders and organisations that had so much to organise - sourcing help and goods. Thanks also to the St John Ambulance Brigade for attending.
I think you will agree that the total raised was excellent and of course the final amount raised after expenses ( € 13,500 gross) will be divided evenly between church funds and the parish school.
